Journey to the Watchtower System Rankings
Speed, Stamina, Insanity, Spirit, and Sin ranked as systems — not a fake roster of named units.
What this hub ranks
Journey to the Watchtower does not publish a public roster of named Spirits or Sins with drop rates, and this wiki will not invent one. The rankings here are systems, not characters. You are scoring five things that actually exist on a run: Speed, Stamina, Insanity gain, the Spirit roll, and the Sin roll.
The place is a Roblox incremental simulator from Brian’s Youtube Gang, live since 13 August 2026. You walk a torch-lined stone path, pick up +1 tokens, and try to reach a three-arch Watchtower while deadly light and a sandworm with a flower-toothed maw end runs. Death and rebirth make the next attempt permanently stronger. Servers hold 15 players; the ranking still applies to your tokens.
Use this hub to pick a spend order. Open a subpage when you want the argument, not a letter grade in isolation.
The five systems
Stamina is the floor. If you cannot stay on the path, Speed is a donation to the light and the worm. Early runs almost always want stamina before anything flashy. The upgrade priority page is the spend-order list for stamina versus speed versus Insanity.
Speed is how fast you close distance toward the Watchtower, and VIP’s +50% Speed is one reason that gamepass exists. Speed without stamina is a shorter death. Speed with stamina is how a distance build actually works.
Insanity gain is the third upgrade axis. VIP also adds +50% Insanity gain. Treat Insanity as a scaling lever for later runs, not as the first purchase while you still face-plant in the opening dunes. Details live next to stamina and speed on upgrades.
Spirit is a roll, not a shop stat. You do not pick a named unit off a banner this wiki made up. You roll, you live with the result, and you ask whether that roll helps the current stretch of desert. The Spirits ranking grades the role of the Spirit slot against the other systems — how much a roll should change your spend order — without fabricating names.
Sin is the other roll. It can color the Lightning Trail cosmetic, and Sin Second Slot (299 Robux) exists so you can hold a second Sin. The Sins ranking grades the Sin slot the same way: system value, slot pressure, and when a second slot is worth Robux instead of more stamina.
Working letter grades (systems)
These letters are a starting point for a live incremental, not a forever meta. Re-read them after you rebirth a few times.
- S — Stamina. Keeps you on the torch line. Enchanced Recovery (official spelling, 149 Robux) is +50% stamina regen, which is why that pass is a stamina tool, not a vanity.
- A — Speed. Distance toward the three arches. Strong once you can actually hold a sprint. VIP’s +50% Speed stacks on this axis.
- A — Insanity gain. Scaling for repeated runs. Weak if you buy it while still dying to light in the first minutes; strong once rebirth is doing work. VIP’s +50% Insanity gain is the paid shortcut.
- B — Spirit slot. High variance because it is a roll. Do not freeze your upgrade plan waiting on a named result this wiki will not list.
- B — Sin slot. Same variance, extra identity because cosmetics follow Sin and a second slot is sold separately. Rank the slot, not a fan-made catalog.
How to read the subpages
- Upgrade priority — stamina vs speed vs Insanity, including when rebirth should change the order.
- Spirits — what the Spirit system is worth relative to raw stats.
- Sins — what the Sin system is worth, including the second slot.
Then go back to the upgrades guide and the Spirits and Sins guide for the how, not the grade. Loadouts that apply these ranks are on the Builds Hub, starting with the beginner build.
What will get a page pulled
Invented unit names, fake drop percentages, and combat roles this game does not have. Journey to the Watchtower is a desert run with individual progression. There is no confirmed code table to weight as a resource (see the Codes Hub). If a later patch publishes official Spirit or Sin names, those names can be added; until then, rank the systems.
Use a rank, then take a run
A letter on this hub is a spend hint, not a promise that the Watchtower is closer. Pick stamina if you are dying, speed if you are stable, Insanity if rebirth is already paying rent, and treat Spirit and Sin as rolls you work around. Then leave the list and walk the path. The reach the Watchtower guide is the goal page; this hub only tells you which lever to push on the way.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for desert runs, rebirths, and rolls.
Why is there no S–F list of named Spirits and Sins?
This wiki does not invent named units or drop rates. Rankings here are for Speed, Stamina, Insanity, the Spirit system, and the Sin system until official names exist.
What should I upgrade first?
Stamina first on early runs, then Speed, then Insanity gain once deaths are feeding rebirth. The upgrade-priority page is the detailed spend order.
Does VIP change the tier list?
VIP adds +50% Insanity gain and +50% Speed, so those two axes jump in value if you own the pass. It does not replace stamina as the floor.
Is Sin Second Slot a high-tier purchase?
It is a 299 Robux extra Sin slot, not a stat multiplier. Rank it on the Sins page as slot pressure. Lightning Trail is cosmetic only and does not change these grades.
