Getting Started

Journey to the Watchtower is a Roblox incremental simulator from Brian’s Youtube Gang, released 13 August 2026. You load into a 15-player server, but stamina, speed, Insanity, Spirits, Sins, and rebirths are yours alone. The goal is easy to say and hard to finish: cross the desert, survive the deadly light, and reach the three-arch Watchtower.

This page is the first-hour loop: join, run the torch-lined stone path, grab +1 pickups, learn stamina, die, rebirth, and spend. Full route: Reach the Watchtower. Inputs: controls guide. Index: guides hub.

Join and look at the desert

Open the experience and take a second before you sprint. Far ahead sits the Watchtower with three arches. Between you and those arches is sand, a stone path marked with torches, +1 pickups, Watchtower light, and a sandworm that bursts from the dunes with a toothed, flower-like mouth.

Other people may share the server. Treat them as scenery. Pickups, deaths, and rebirths do not feed a shared board. If someone sprints off the stones and dies, that is their run, not a signal to copy the cut. Face the arches for direction, then watch your feet. The first-hour skill is staying on a readable line, not buying speed.

Run the torch-lined stone path

Stay on the stone. The path is the lane you will reuse after every death. Torches mark it. +1 pickups sit on it. Leaving the stones to cut toward the tower is how new players meet the sandworm early and empty their stamina in open dunes.

Walk the first stretch. Count how far one torch cluster sits from the next. Note where pickups sit relative to the stones. You are not racing the Watchtower yet. You are learning the lane.

Grab every +1 you can reach without a long sand detour. Small gains matter because you will run this lane again after you rebirth. If a pickup sits a step off the path, take it only when you can return to torches immediately.

Learn stamina before you learn speed

Stamina decides whether a sprint is a tool or a trap. Speed upgrades matter later. In the first hour, empty stamina in the open is how light or the worm catches you.

Sprint in short bursts on stone. Recover while you are still on the path. Do not hold sprint because the tower looks close. Distance you cannot control is not progress. The upgrade guide explains how stamina, speed, and Insanity gain trade off by stage. For a starter spend order after the first deaths, use the beginner build.

The Watchtower’s light kills. If it feels like it is winning, you are too far from cover, too empty on stamina, or both. Read Survive the Light before you try a hero sprint.

Die, then rebirth on purpose

You will die. The design is built on it. Official copy is blunt: every death makes the next journey easier. Rebirth is the permanent layer. Do not treat the first death as a wasted session. Treat it as the moment the incremental game starts.

After you drop, rebirth instead of lingering on a dead run. Then spend. Early upgrades should make the next stone stretch calmer: more stamina to recover between sprints, then enough speed to collect +1s before the worm forces a reset. The Rebirth Guide covers when to reset versus when you are only feeding a bad line.

If a Spirit or Sin roll appears, do not freeze. Read Spirits and Sins before you spend Robux on extra slots.

First-hour checklist

  1. Join a server and face the three arches so the goal is obvious.
  2. Stay on the torch-lined stone path.
  3. Collect +1 pickups you can take without a long sand detour.
  4. Sprint in bursts and recover on stone.
  5. When the sandworm bursts, respect the mouth and reset if the path is gone.
  6. Die, rebirth, and buy a stamina-facing upgrade before you chase raw speed.
  7. On the next run, go farther on the same path instead of inventing a new route.

As of September 2026 there are no live promo codes. Still open the codes hub when you sit down, because that is the page we keep current. Do not stall the first hour waiting on a code.

Passes are optional. VIP is 199 Robux for +50% Insanity and +50% Speed. Enchanced Recovery is 149 Robux for +50% stamina regen (the store spelling is Enchanced). Sin Second Slot is 299 Robux. Lightning Trail is 199 Robux and cosmetic. None of those are required to learn the path.

Close the hour with one named death

The first hour is done when you can name what killed you and what you bought because of it. Light, worm, empty stamina, and greedy sand cuts are the usual four. Your next click should be a rebirth spend or a reread of the survival page, not a random menu tour. Load in again and run the stones until the torches feel like a rhythm. That rhythm is the beginner game.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for desert runs, rebirths, and rolls.

What should I do in the first hour?

Join a 15-player server, stay on the torch-lined stone path, grab reachable +1 pickups, die, rebirth, and spend toward stamina before raw speed. Use the controls guide if movement still feels unclear.

Do other players on the server share my progress?

No. Servers hold up to 15 people, but stamina, upgrades, rolls, and rebirths are individual. Copying someone else’s sand cut is usually how you die sooner, not how you share a win.

Should I buy a pass before I learn the path?

No. Learn the stones, stamina bursts, and rebirth spend first. VIP, Enchanced Recovery, Sin Second Slot, and Lightning Trail only amplify a loop you already understand.

Are there codes I should redeem on day one?

As of September 2026 there are no live codes. Check the codes hub when you play; do not wait in the desert for a code that is not posted.

What should I upgrade after the first death?

Buy the upgrade that lets you recover on the stones. Stamina first, then enough speed to collect +1s. See the beginner build and the Rebirth Guide for the spend loop.
